79th Montreal International Auto Show opens Friday

The 79th edition of the Montreal International Auto Show is days away and will be open to the public this Friday, from January 19-28, 2024, at the Palais des congrès de Montréal convention centre in Montréal, Qué.

There will be test drives and several “zones” — one for contests, tuning performance, AutoSport, and Powersport. And as part of the auto show effort to enhance the experience for consumers the event will also include the Nissan Sentra Cup Experience by D-Box Technologies. It is an immersive experience that has been conducted outside of Canada and will be expanding in the United States this year.

“Visitors can enjoy the feeling of exhilaration and thrill of being a Sentra Cup race driver on the 5th floor in room 516 (of the Palais des congrès de Montréal),” said The Auto Show on its website. “The winning Sentra race car of the 2023 series will also be displayed throughout the show and 2023 champion Alexandre Fortin will visit the Nissan booth on Saturday, January 27th, 2024 for a meet and greet session with visitors.”

Furthermore, the event also includes The Garage de Rêve d’Hugo Girard contest, which means that attendees chance winning a “dream Garage like Hugo Girard’s” valued at $32,500. It comes complete with Rousseau Métal cabinets, Pro Design Garage flooring, DeWALT tools, and a Hugo Strong wardrobe.

Finally, the evening before the public opening, on Jan. 18, 2024, there will also be a Charity Preview Gala that seeks to raise funds for five hospital foundations in the greater Montréal area.
