The Policaro Group’s motorsports division is preparing for what is expected to be an exciting season in the FEL Sports Car Championship, Canada Series this year.
Policaro Motorsports partnered with Toronto-based race organization VPX Motorsport for the event, and the Policaro team is sponsored by two dealerships under the Policaro Group umbrella: Porsche Centre Oakville and Porsche Centre Kitchener-Waterloo. The racing event spans five weekends, with two-to-three races per weekend (May 19-21, June 21-23, July 19-21, Aug. 9-11, and Aug. 30-Sept. 1, 2024).
“Motorsports is the heart of the Policaro Group,” said Francesco Policaro, CEO of the Policaro Group, in a statement. “We believe that the brands we represent are best experienced full throttle on the track.” (The Policaro Motorsports team will be using two Porsche 718 GT4 RS Clubsport vehicles.)
Policaro Motorsport has competed since 2015 and has won at the Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona, the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge, and the Canadian Touring Car Championship. The FEL Sports Car Championship, Canada Series is an annual event that the dealer group says provides fans of motorsports with a chance to experience the “thrill of the drive” from either the track or via live stream on FEL’s online platform.
It all starts on May 19 at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP) in Bowmanville, Ont.
