Ontario’s Drive Festival is back for its third annual event

The third annual Drive Festival, an outdoor event likely to see many automotive consumers and enthusiasts in attendance, is set to take place from Sept. 8-10, 2023, at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park — a multi-track motorsport venue just north of Bowmanville, Ont.

Event organizers are expecting more than 25,000 people to participate in the festival, which includes vehicles and, new for this year, an Aviva EV Launch Pad, an off-road test track, and a curated collection of the rare and collectible cars.

“We’re always looking to enhance the experience for passionate car lovers and this year will be even more compelling with our exciting added features,” said Adam Ruppel, Festival Director, in a statement. “This event truly has something for everyone — from the adrenaline junkies to the seasoned collectors.”

The event will also include three test-drive tracks: the PRO-SERIES Manufacturer Test Track, the Performance Test Track, and the Off-Road Test Track. And attendees can also watch and listen to a selection of exotic, classic and iconic cars via the Mobil 1 Dream Car Speed Run.

Also of note is the Aviva Electric Avenue that will allow people to explore and compare different EV models and learn about the benefits. “New manufacturer models will be featured, including electric and hybrid cars, SUVs, trucks, as well as modified and new motorcycles, ATVs and Side x Sides,” said Drive Festival in its news release.

The festival is an encouraging sign that automotive groups continue to run annual events and educate consumers and enthusiasts on new models and electrified options. More information is available here.
