LADA Charity Classic Golf Tournament in Lethbridge is a hit for players and charity

A wonderful evening of connecting with colleagues followed by a sunny day of fun and semi-competitive golf happened on August 17 and 18 at the Lethbridge Auto Dealers Association Charity Classic Golf Tournament. The event raised over $43,000 for Lethbridge and Area Food Banks, The Community Foundation of Lethbridge and Southwestern Alberta, and The Lethbridge College Trades and Technology Program, along with many other local charities.

“Events like the Charity Classic bring the Alberta auto community together, and highlight the community spirit and the generosity of our members,” said Gerald Wood, President of the Motor Dealers Association of Alberta.

Since the inception of the Charity Classic, it has raised over $450,000, split between  three choice charities. Organizers say this couldn’t have been done without the help and generosity of their loyal dealers, sponsors, and corporate donors.

“Over each of the past thirteen years, it’s a time for members of the community to come together, play eighteen holes and support our neighbourhoods and local charities in a big way,” says Brandon Mourits, General Manager, Gary Moe Mazda Lethbridge.

The Lethbridge Auto Dealers Association (LADA) consists of Franchise Automotive Dealers throughout Southern Alberta. The association’s goal is to support local initiatives that positively affect the daily lives of the people in communities that support their dealerships. Based in the city of Lethbridge in Southern Alberta, the LADA is an industry alliance.
