Joshua Allen, VP of Naked Lime, a digital marketing company, spoke to us at NADA and revealed that Canadian dealers can expect to hear more from the company at TADA’s ACE Conference in Niagara Falls, Ont., where they will be “re-launching Naked Lime in Canada.”

“We’ll have a big launch there and then some press releases throughout the next couple of months,” said Allen. “It’s our suite of digital marketing services, first and foremost being our website platform. Not only are we re-launching it, but we re-programmed it on a fully-responsive design platform to be able to sell to any franchise dealer in Canada.”

Allen said dealers are looking to add more tools to their websites and digital marketing to deliver a more seamless shopping and buying experience for their customers. “They don’t want all these disconnected purchase experiences,” he said. “There’s a lot of competition out there, but there’s really nobody that can do what can do — being a DMS company and then also a digital marketing company.”

Allen said when a digital lead comes into the store, whether through a vehicle purchase or service, Naked Lime allows dealers to tie that back into their Reynolds DMS system and look at what drove that customer to come in. “Did they purchase or did they service their vehicle, and what kind of profits did that net for the dealership?” said Allen.

The company is able to assess specific digital marketing campaigns and look at the cost per click and other metrics. “We look at and then tie that back to a sale and gross profit. And really how effective was that campaign?”

Allen said having access to all the DMS data also allows the dealership to be more effective with its digital marketing. “Who am I going to target? What postal codes am I going to target? What demographics am I going to target. As a DMS company, we have all that information.”
