According to new research from Erowz, second-hand Teslas are the most sought-after second-hand car brand in the world, favoured in 15 countries including Canada. Erowz has analysed Google search metrics along with eBay and AutoTrader car listings to identify which second-hand vehicles are most desired in a number of countries around the world.
Based on the research, second-hand Teslas were the favourite used car brand in 28% of the countries examined. In addition to Canada, Teslas were most desired in Austria, Brazil, Costa Rica, Finland, Hungary, Kuwait, Mexico, Norway, Poland, Portugal, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United States of America.
BMW followed closely behind Tesla, being the most sought after second-hand vehicle in 14 countries, including Bahrain, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, India, Ireland, Italy, Malaysia, Romania, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, and the United Kingdom.
Although second-hand Teslas may be the most-searched-for brand online, they’re hard to come by. Only 391 were listed on AutoTrader and 151 on eBay from September 2020 to August 2021, which was the time period examined.
