Amazon announced a number of new automotive products, features, integrations, and collaborations at this year’s CES. One of those collaborations is with Stellantis. AWS will be Stellantis’ preferred cloud provider for its entire vehicle brand portfolio. The two entities have made a series of global, multi-year agreements to introduce new connected experiences across millions of Stellantis vehicles.

Starting in 2024, Amazon will deliver software for Stellantis’ new digital cabin platform which will affect millions of vehicles globally over the next decade. The collaboration will include “engineering and innovation initiatives and tools to accelerate time to market for new digital products and upskill Stellantis’ global workforce,” Amazon announced in a recent press release. Amazon added that it will be the first commercial customer for the new Ram ProMaster Battery Electric Vehicle as the company plans to expand its sustainable delivery network in 2023.

Amazon also introduced a new Fire TV experience for vehicles at the CES. BMW showcased a preview of Amazon Fire TV in its new Theatre Screen, offering an “immersive, theater-like experience for rear-seat passengers,” Amazon said.

“Customers will be able to use Alexa or on-screen touch controls to access over one million TV episodes and movies on Fire TV in-vehicle in the United States,” they added, noting that the experience will be customized with personalized settings across devices, which means that “Fire TV will look the same whether you’re looking at the TV in your living room or in your car.” The option will also be available in the Jeep Wagoneer, Grand Wagoneer, and Grand Cherokee; Chrysler Pacifica, Ford Expedition, and Lincoln Navigator.
