Keyloop buys DMS provider SERTI

Global automotive retail technology provider Keyloop announced yesterday that it has acquired SERTI, one of Canada’s leading Dealer Management Systems (DMS). The purchase is Keyloop’s sixth acquisition since its launch in March 2021 and will support the company as it looks to expand its presence across Canada.

Located in Montreal, Quebec, SERTI was founded in 1975 and according to Keyloop, 185 of SERTI’s current employees, including Louis Laporte (President), Francis Gingras (Executive Vice-President) and the senior leadership team will join Keyloop as part of the acquisition.

In the company’s press release, Keyloop stated that the acquisition will enable them to continue their mission “to build a global connected ecosystem for the automotive retail industry” by combining Keyloop’s product portfolio with SERTI’s DMS to provide end-to-end automotive retail solutions to dealerships across the country.

“Combining SERTI’s solutions with Keyloop’s already extensive offering means we can now offer Canadian retailers the right technology to create a first-class, personalised and truly digitally-enabled customer experience,” said Tom Kilroy, CEO of Keyloop.

Well known in Canada for its DMS, SERTI currently provides technology solutions and applications to more than 1,000 Canadian car dealerships. In addition to its DMS, that technology includes a complete service digitalization suite with online bookings, text messaging and customer check-ins, as well SDSEQUITY, a feature which, according to the company’s press release “identifies opportunities to upgrade customers into a new vehicle at the optimum point in their financing agreement.”
