Reynolds & Reynolds announces changes to leadership team

Reynolds and Reynolds, a leading provider of automobile dealership software with operations in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Europe announced new changes amongst their executive team this week. With more than 35 years at Reynolds, Chris Walsh, formerly the company’s executive vice president of sales and marketing has been promoted to the role of president. Walsh is taking the reins from Tommy Barras, who will stay on as Reynold’s chairman and chief executive officer.

Walsh’s experience with Reynolds includes various leadership roles in operations, business development, support, quality control, sales, and marketing. “[Chris’] passion for helping our customers succeed, as well as his knowledge and expertise in various areas of the company will help drive our growth,” Barras said in a recent press release. “He keeps one eye on the future of our industry and understands the challenges and the opportunities facing automotive retailing today.”

Additional changes to Reynold’s C-level executive team were announced on Monday. Willie Daughters, who has been with the company for more than 30 years will leave his position as executive vice president of operations to step into a new role as the company’s chief operating officer. During his time at Reynolds, Daughters has worked directly with automotive manufacturers, overseen product quality assurance and testing, led technical assistance teams, and directed Reynold’s Canadian and European support organizations. “Willie and his team are uniquely suited to help our customers gain the most possible benefit from our products and services,” Barras said in the company’s press release.

Monday’s announcement follows the recent promotions of Sheri Robinson to the role of chief financial officer and Eric Edwards to the role of chief technology officer. “These key promotions are one more step that helps position us to fully live up to our own aspirations,” Barras said of the recent staffing changes. “Moving forward, we will be more focused than ever on expanding our footprint in retail automotive, making it easier to do business with us, and helping our customers achieve new levels of profitability,” Walsh added.
