FreeWire launches AI-enabled tech to expand EV charging infrastructure

FreeWire, a company that provides electric vehicle charging and energy management solutions, announced the launch of an artificial intelligence-enabled platform meant to more efficiently deploy EV charging infrastructure across both the United States and Canada.

Known as Mobilyze Pro, the platform introduces an AI prediction algorithm that will allow EV charging site hosts to optimize charging deployments — which in turn should help boost its use and profitability. The platform is designed to provide accurate predictions that will help expand EV charging infrastructure across both countries.

“Mobilyze Pro is the most powerful software tool available today to analyze and predict strategic deployments of fast charging infrastructure,” said Arcady Sosinov, CEO and Founder of FreeWire, in a statement.“The platform uses AI to make highly accurate predictions and optimize project economics, making EV fast charging more ubiquitous and more accessible to the public.”

FreeWire said it designed the platform as a result of the gap between EV sales and infrastructure and the growing demand for the latter.

“These tools give owners of charging infrastructure the resources they need to compare site locations and hardware solutions, thereby providing confidence in the business case for EV charging and overcoming a key hurdle to accelerate deployment and access for drivers,” FreeWire said in a news release.

The company acquired Mobilyze.ai in December 2022. It plans to offer Mobilyze Pro to site hosts in the United States and across four Canadian provinces in the first quarter of 2024. More information will be offered at the NACS show in Atlanta on October 3-6, 2023.
