For a 14th consecutive year, Groupe Park Avenue participated in the annual Centraide Campaign last December. Centraide of Greater Montreal provides financial support to a network of agencies that work every day to ensure equal opportunity, provide the essentials and build a more inclusive society. In addition to providing financial support to agencies, Centraide devotes part of its investments to strengthening the skills and leadership of community agencies.
All of the auto group’s 16 car dealerships worked together to raise an impressive $138,564. In addition, major donations from 15 new leaders of the Groupe Park Avenue added an additional donation of $24,850. In total, $163,414 will be donated to support more than 350 organizations that help the most vulnerable people.
Norman John Hébert, President and Chief Operating Officer of Groupe Park Avenue, recognized the involvement of the organization’s employees who, once again this year, demonstrated great generosity towards Centraide. “I am extremely proud of the commitment of our employees towards our community,” said Hébert, “but also of the actions that have been taken by our leaders in order to raise additional funds that have enabled us to maintain our important levels of contributions again this year. This proves the strength of our company when we all work together to achieve a common goal.”
This amount brings to more than $1.6 million the total value of donations made by Groupe Park Avenue to Centraide over the years.
This contribution was appreciated by Centraide, which relies on Quebec companies like Groupe Park Avenue to achieve its mission. The president and Executive Director of Centraide of Greater Montreal, Claude Pinard, said he is grateful for the essential support provided by Groupe Park Avenue. “We would like to thank the management and employees for their gestures of mutual aid and solidarity. Their commitment to Centraide will have a positive impact on the daily lives of thousands of individuals and families. The year promises to be difficult for too many of our fellow citizens in vulnerable situations.”
