Clutch’s instant cash offer tool set to improve used car selling experience

Clutch, an online car retailer in Canada has launched an instant cash offer tool for customers. The tool is designed to improve the car-selling experience for Canadians looking to sell or trade-in their pre-owned vehicles. 

According to the company’s blog, the new tool comes after Clutch recently announced a Series B fundraising round of $100 million. The company plans to use the funding to “improve product experiences, strengthen operations in existing markets, and expand operations to new markets.” The instant cash offer tool is also paired with Clutch’s free at-home pickup service of all vehicles within Clutch’s delivery radius. 

Clutch’s new experience is completely online and bypasses the typical purchase process of most sell or trade-in platforms which offer customers an initial appraisal, and then requires customers to complete several more steps before receiving the final offer. Clutch’s customers instead receive an instant offer seconds after submitting the required vehicle details. The instant offer can also be applied as a credit towards a trade-in.

Harris, who joined Clutch from Carvana, added that Clutch has “successfully taken the hassle out of purchasing a car and now we’re streamlining the selling process, getting cash into the pockets of our customers quicker with our new instant cash-offer tool and our free at-home pick-up service.”
