  • Advisory Route Sheet –
A simple way to track incoming work orders, tech #’s and promised return time.

  • Priority Return Visit Sheet-
When your service department spends money on shop policy, it is just the cost of doing business, but our question is do you know why you spend it? As a rule, keeping this expense under 2% of the department gross profit is a fair industry number, but we often find that 80% of policy dollars are caused by 20% of the staff. Every policy repair order can reduce these dollars by 50% just by identifying why they occurred and also by creating staff accountability.

  • Quick Service Control Sheet –
We recommend that at the end of each shift, each employee submits a Quick Service Control sheet to the service manager to show how many oil changes were completed each day and the incremental business sold daily. This helps create accountability and takes up little of the service manager’s time! You can turn this into a huge opportunity to make money and take better care of your customer’s vehicles.

  • Walk and Pop Report Card
Completing the work and pop report card at the time of writing the work order slows down the transaction, builds open dialogue with the customer and often increases labour sales by .2 hours per repair order. But it has to be done consistently to be effective and become part of a set of processes.

  • Key Ratio Comparison Sheet
Your service department might be profitable and generating a strong bottom line, but it is still worth taking some time to crunch a few key performance indicators.
