Registration for the CADA Summit 2022 is now open and is set to take place on February 16 as an online event, according to Bonnie Wasser, Industry Relations Manager at the Canadian Automobile Dealers Association (CADA).
“Registration has been very strong right out of the gate—we are expecting a substantial crowd again this year to hear about important changes underway in the auto industry,” said Wasser in response to an inquiry from Canadian auto dealer.
The event was previously scheduled to be an in-person conference with the option of online attendance, but due to Ontario’s reinstating of capacity limits towards the end of 2021 and the rise in Omicron cases, CADA moved it online. The program will begin at 12:30 p.m. Eastern time and run until approximately 5:00 p.m.
“CADA member dealers can register for $99 each, which also gives them four additional logins for their dealership staff, and non-members can register for $299, and an additional $99 each for up to two additional registrations from the same organization,” said Wasser.
Jason Stein, host of Cars & Culture on SiriusXM, will kick off the event. His introduction will be followed by a welcome from Senior Vice-President and Head of TD Auto Finance Gino Caputo and CADA Chairman Peter Heppner.
The day will include an Canadian economic update from Beata Caranci, Chief Economist & Senior Vice-President for TD Bank Group; a panel discussion around electrification (Navigating the ZEV Roadmap); and a dealer panel that will explore success stories around selling electric vehicles, share lessons learned, and how these dealers are adapting their businesses to respond to a number of challenges on the EV selling front.
CADA will also present the 2021 DSI Awards, which will be followed by a panel on Changes in the OEM/Dealer Relationship and the 2022 Dealership Buy/Sell Marketplace.
