NAIAS returns to Detroit in September for in-person event

The North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) is set to return to downtown Detroit in September 2022 for a live, in-person event, according to an announcement by the Detroit Auto Dealers Association (DADA).

The show will return to Huntington Place (formerly TCF Center) from Sept. 14 – 25, 2022. Media and tech days will take place from Sept. 14-15, while the Charity Preview will be Sept. 16. The event will open to the public as of Sept. 17.

“We are proud to return to downtown Detroit and to work with Mayor Duggan and the city of Detroit again,” said Rod Alberts, Executive Director at DADA. “Capitalizing on everything we’ve learned over the past two and a half years, we are uniquely positioned to bring a dynamic, engaging, experiential show to Detroit in 2022.”

The show will focus on a number of areas, from a range of new vehicles to electrification, and technology around global mobility.

The event will be designed to grow underserved communities by offering more benefits to charities, according to the company. It will also offer free, outdoor activities while the show is running.
