Yolanda Biswah is Canadian Black Book’s new President

Yolanda Biswah will be the new president of Canadian Black Book — effective July 1, the company announced.

Biswah, who was recently named to the position, was previously the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Canadian Black Book. She joined the company in 2015. Prior to this, she held positions in sales leadership, data licensing, and customer experience.

“I am honoured to lead Canadian Black Book. This is a proud, historic Canadian brand, and I am excited to lead it at such an exciting time in the industry,” said Biswah in a statement.

Biswah is passionate about industry diversity and inclusion — and mentorship. According to CBB, she volunteers with non-profit Accelerate Auto (which aims to boost Black representation and diversity in the auto sector), Gilda’s House, and Hearst’s Level Up Ventures.

As for her past experience, Biswah worked at TELUS and AutoTrader, graduated from Centennial College’s School of Business in Toronto, Ont., and has a certificate in Performance Management from the Schulich School of Business — part of York University (also in Toronto). Based on CBB, she also has an advanced certificate in strategic leadership from the University of Toronto.

“Yolanda has more than 20 years in the industry, a proven record of leadership, and a deep commitment to fostering the next generation of automotive leaders,” said Jared Kalfus, President of Black Book, in a statement. “I am proud to announce that she will serve as Canadian Black Book’s President.”

Biswah will continue to report to Kalfus in her new position.
