CarGurus announces Top-Rated Dealer Awards

CarGurus announced the release of its ninth annual Top-Rated Dealer Awards, which honours dealerships that consistently provide consumers with exceptional service, guidance, and support.

As part of the award process, the company considers reviews on its platform from verified car shoppers, and looks at the average rating of a dealer. According to CarGurus, top-rated dealers received a minimum of 4.5 out of 5, with at least four new reviews in the past year for dealers in Canada. (Five for those in the United States and United Kingdom.)

“We know that consumers are seeking more confidence and control throughout their car shopping, buying, and selling journey,” said Spencer Scott, Executive Vice President of Sales and Service at CarGurus, in a statement. “We commend our Top-Rated Dealers for continuing to raise the bar through reliable guidance and tools that support greater convenience and transparency for consumers.

According to CarGurus, dealers are improving customer relationships and satisfaction through digital retail tools — particularly the ones that meet consumer demands to handle more of the purchase process online, while still anchoring to a dealership.

A total of 224 dealers across Canada, the U.S., and the U.K. earned the Gold Award status; they are part of an “elite group” that won the Top-Rated Dealer Award for five consecutive years. “These dealerships have delivered consistently strong ratings and excellent customer service for the last five years,” said CarGurus.

The company’s top-rated dealers will be notified of the award, and receive information and tools to promote their recognition in-store and online.
