Hyundai Canada raises $84,725 to support at-risk and homeless youth

On the night of March 2nd, Hyundai Auto Canada’s entire executive team slept outside on the streets to help raise over $80,000 to support at-risk and homeless youth in the 10th annual 360ºExperience fundraiser in York Region. During the event, participants spent a cold winter’s night outside, “opening their eyes to the harsh realities youth face every day on the streets”, with all proceeds going to 360ºkids’ support programming.

“The 360ºExperience gives you a new level of appreciation and understanding of how the services 360ºkids provides impact youth in the community,” said Don Romano, president and CEO of Hyundai Canada. “I am so proud of everyone on the Hyundai Canada team for showing up in such a big way to make a real difference and support such an important fundraising initiative.”

360ºkids serves over 1,500 at-risk youth from the York Region municipalities, helping them to overcome crisis, and transition to a state of safety and stability. Hyundai Canada has worked closely with the organization since 2020 in various charitable capacities as part of its commitment to supporting local communities.

The 360ºExperience is 360ºkids’ signature annual fundraising event. This year marks the 10th year anniversary, which has raised over $1.2M to help deliver programs and support services to at-risk youth in York Region. 360ºkids serves anywhere from 1,475 – 3,900 youth from the York Region municipalities each year through a variety of programs within their four pillars of support: housing, education, employment, and health and wellbeing.

“We are honoured and proud to have Hyundai Canada as one of our key corporate partners, with their commitment and support, we continue to provide much needed programs to youth facing hardship,” said the 360°kids organization in a press release after the event. “Thank you, team Hyundai Canada, the corporate office and dealers across York Region. Thank you, Don Romano, for your leadership and commitment to 360°kids.”
