AutoCanada acquires another dealership in Windsor

AutoCanada added another dealership to its portfolio with the recent acquisition of Premier Chevrolet Cadillac Buick GMC, a new and used vehicle dealership and collision centre in Windsor, Ont.

In a news release, AutoCanada’s Executive Chairman Paul Antony said the addition of the new dealership, which represents the group’s third in Windsor, will help bolster AutoCanada’s physical footprint in an attractive market in Southwestern Ontario.

“This acquisition not only adds a dealership with significant growth potential to our portfolio, but also brings a certified collision centre into the AutoCanada Collision platform,” said Antony in a statement.

AutoCanada currently owns 83 franchised dealerships, featuring 28 brands, in eight provinces in Canada — along with a group in Illinois, United States. The newest addition to its portfolio, which has served its community for more than 46 years, covers 42,000 square-feet on five acres and includes a collision centre that operates out of a 12,000 square-foot facility with 14 service bays.

The group said the current management team will continue to operate the business moving forward.

“We look forward to building upon the strong foundation established by the previous owners and working with the talented team at Premier to further grow the business and serve customers throughout the Windsor market,” said Antony in a statement.
